
Marie was a special education teacher in South Kingstown until 2001. Marie received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Rhode Island College and more recently her M.Div. from Andover Newton in 2005. In 2005 she was also ordained at First Baptist Church in East Greenwich as their Associate Pastor for Elder Care and Women. Marie was called as the pastor of North Foster Baptist Church in February of 2007 where she still serves. Marie is enjoying her position as Elder Care director and is thankful that ABCORI, thanks to the Home Board, can be a leader in this area.

Guest Services Manager, Linda Martin has been with ABCORI for 16 yrs. having first worked as Summer Camp Registrar from 1994-1998. Linda is married to Lucien Martin who works in Maintenance at Canonicus. She has 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Linda's joy in her work comes from helping people to experience the beauty, peace and tranquility of Canonicus and to encounter the God of Creation in this place.

Sandy is a member of the
Georgiaville Baptist Church in Smithfield, as well as one of its
delegates to ABCORI. She began working at the ABCORI office in November
2007 and is currently completing an Associate Degree in Administrative
Office Management at CCRI. Her love of Canonicus began when, as a child,
her Grandfather gave her a campership for her birthday. As often as
possible, she actively promotes ABCORI and encourages everyone to
participate in our development programs, especially the Annual Gathering
and American Baptist Women’s Ministries of RI.
Tina started working for ABCORI in 1999 as the "Weekend Hostess". She and her family resided on the Canonicus property. She is grateful her children have grown up here. Tina's job description has grown over the years. She now serves as Canonicus' Hospitality Coordinator and she also leads guests in team building initiatives on Canonicus' low ropes course. Before ABCORI she was an educational tutor for the Narragansett Indian Tribe with a strong background in Physical Education/Fitness and She truly feels blessed to be part of the camping/conferencing ministry at Canonicus.
